Tracie Letterman is the Vice President of Federal Affairs at the Humane Society Legislative Fund. She oversees the organization’s federal agenda by working with Congress and over 10 different federal agencies on a wide variety of issues, including pursuing reforms to puppy mill regulations and enforcement, protecting farm animals from cruelty, and seeking to stop efforts to roll back conservation and animal protection laws and regulations.
Tracie has been an attorney for over 20 years, all of which have been spent advocating for animal protection issues. Prior to working at The HSLF, Tracie was the Executive Director for the American Anti-Vivisection Society. Before that, she worked for the Center for Food Safety, where she did litigation and policy work on food safety and animal protection issues.
Tracie lives in Olney, Maryland with her husband (Lee), two children (Ella and Dylan), cat (Princess Buttercup), and dog (Oreo Bear).
