Borami Seo leads government affairs work and manages the country office in South Korea for the Humane Society International/Korea. Over the past 17 years, she has been involved in numerous legislative and public campaigns for animal welfare, animal-free science, wildlife protection, and dog meat bans. Her work with Korean governments led to innovative regulatory projects, especially in driving animal-free approaches in scientific research and testing. She has served on government and scientific committees to improve animal welfare, and was recognized by the National Assembly’s official research committee, Animal Welfare Forum, in the Policy and Academics category.
