Borami Seo leads government affairs work and manages the country office in South Korea in Humane Society International/Korea. In the past 17 years, her role involved in numerous legislative and public campaigns for animal welfare, animal-free science, wildlife and dog meat ban. Her work with Korean governments initiated authority-led regulatory innovation projects, especially in driving animal-free approaches in scientific research and testing. She has served on government and scientific committees to improve animal welfare and was awarded by the National Assembly’s official research committee, Animal Welfare Forum, for the Policy and Academics category.
