Brian Saunders is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Washington, DC office. He joined the firm in 2021. Brian’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation before the U.S. District Courts, the Federal Circuit, and the International Trade Commission, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Brian has successfully guided his clients through all phases of litigation—from pre-complaint investigations through trial and appeal—having notched victories along the continuum by way of favorable settlements, summary judgment or early dismissals on the merits, and favorable jury verdicts. Brian’s technical experience spans the gamut; he has litigated and counseled clients in numerous technical fields, including biotechnology, implantable medical devices, pharmaceutical formulations/methods, computer cryptography, GPS and biometric devices, Internet access technologies, computer software, industrial cooling devices, fitness devices, sports apparel, and plumbing technologies.
