Ground Transportation
Transit
It takes approximately 45 minutes by MAX light rail train to travel from Portland International Airport to downtown Portland. From the airport baggage claim area, look for signs for “Light Rail Tickets.” You can purchase a MAX train ticket and get information about the train schedule in the airport lobby. The train runs approximately every 15 minutes to and from the airport.
To travel downtown from the airport, catch the MAX Red Line towards “City Center & Beaverton TC.” Exit the train at the Pioneer Square North stop located at SW Broadway and SW Morrison in downtown Portland.
To get to the Hilton Portland Downtown from the Pioneer Square North stop, walk along SW 5th Avenue towards SW Yamhill Street. Turn right onto SW Yamhill Street and then turn left at SW 6th Avenue. The Hilton Portland Downtown is on your right at 921 SW 6th Avenue.
Taxis, Lyft & Uber
Taxis, Lyft and Uber all operate from Portland International Airport. Depending on the time of day, it will take approximately 30-45 minutes to get from the airport to downtown Portland and fares will range from $25-$45.
Taxis at Portland International Airport can be found on the lower level, outside of baggage claim on Island 3. Lyft & Uber can be found on the lower level, outside of baggage claim on Island 2.
