Attorney Vivian González Méndez is a litigation lawyer who worked at the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico, where she litigated and supervised a team of nearly 100 lawyers in state, federal, and administrative civil litigation. She currently has her own practice specializing in Governmental and Animal Law. She was a Commissioner of the Special Commission on Animal Rights of the Bar Association of Puerto Rico. She is an Animal Cruelty Investigator, Founder of JUSTA P.R. (Justice Animal PR), an educational legal and activism project related to animal rights on Facebook. She is also a Professor at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she teaches Animal Law and Legal Strategies for Animal Defense courses, Civil Litigation courses, and is the Mentor for the National Organization for Animal Rights (ONDA), whose members are law students advocating for animal rights and legal changes in favor of animals in Puerto Rico. She offers workshops and presentations to the public and advises government entities, private organizations, and nonprofit organizations on animal rights and related issues. She fights for the defense and justice for animals, without distinction of species. Attorney Vivian González Méndez is vegan.
